Tessa Woods, Penn State Graduate

I have lived at Wehnwood for over 3 years and it has been a great experience. Robyn, Tim and Sara are very friendly and are always available to chat and help out the tenants. I have lived in a variety of living spaces at Wehnwood over the years, from a floor with four others to a single unit apartment. Each living space was affordable, clean, and furnished. Some things that I cherish the most at Wehnwood is the short ten minute walk to campus and the safe and quiet living it provides students.

Wehnwood is my home away from home. I feel safe and comfortable here. It is clean, cozy and well taken care of. All of the staff are absolutely wonderful and I’m so glad I choose to live here for two years. I really wish I could stay here all four years. I hope my next landlord is as wonderful and kind as you.

I lived at Wehnwood Court for both of my years at Altoona and I have absolutely no complaints! I loved it there! The apartments are very nice and all of the staff are super friendly and are there to help you whenever needed. I recommended living there to many of my friends for their sophomore year and they loved it too! Also free parking and all utilities included is a huge plus. Still close enough to be able to walk to campus but with the perks of off campus living. Would highly recommend.

I lived at Wehnwood for all four of my college years and wouldn't have ever wanted to live anywhere else. Wehnwood was my home away from home. All of the staff are incredible and so helpful with anything that you could ever need. Wehnwood goes above and beyond for its residents by having holiday parties, Super Bowl parties, and a spring BBQ with free meals and snacks. They take the time to really get to know you as a person and care for you. Any maintenance needs were addressed right away by their staff, as well as any other concerns that I ever had. Because of Wehnwood, I now have many life long friends and memories to cherish. I am forever grateful for everything they have done for me and the time I spent living there. I highly recommend Wehnwood to anyone who is in need of student housing.

Mother of Two Penn State Grads

The end of the spring semester 2018 is bitter sweet for my family. We have been part of Wehnwood since the fall of 2012. Since that time we have had one, and for a year, two daughters residing at Wehnwood. First, I cannot say enough about the safety at Wehnwood. The security guard, Tim, is ever present and readily available to assist the students with any challenges they may face. The doors are locked after hours and security rounds are performed to ensure the safety of all students. Late one night, a fire occurred in an apartment near my daughters. The fire company responded within minutes and searched the building to ensure all students were out of their rooms. The fire was maintained in one room and everyone was safe. It was very apparent the staff at Wehnwood as well as the local fire companies are ever ready to assist the students. The facility is very clean and has an amazing warm environment. The staff offers cookouts and super bowl get togethers for the students and provides food and activities.

For the school year of 2016-17, I lived in Wehnwood Court under the landlord Robyn, I have never experienced a better place to live! Moving in, the entire apartment was furnished, wifi was available along with all utilities at a fantastic price. She has an easy payment plan and will understand any situation. Robyn and the staff also provide fast maintenance and easy fixes any issues.
They also make Wehnwood super homey and friendly whenever holidays are near or in general for a great environment. Even a special dinner is made once every semester.

I loved living at Wehnwood. Everything is provided and the staff make it even better. Always kind and caring. Robyn and the staff take care of their tenants. Even though I am at University Park now, I wish I still lived at Wehnwood. Every now and then I come back to visit and know it always stays the same.

I have lived at Wehnwood Court for 2 years. From the day I met Robyn and the rest of the staff I have felt like I was at home. They have always been so kind and pleasant. Comparing to other student housing, I have felt they were just in it for the money. Tim has always been there to fix any issue we’ve had.

This is definitely the place you want to live! I will miss it when I graduate August of 2018

I love living in Wehnwood! It is a great place with great people that really care about the people who rent from them. They provide a warm family like area that is like nothing you would ever think possible. From the decorative areas for the different seasons, to the friendly area competitions for fun prizes and the great food for events like Thanksgiving and super bowl.

I would highly recommend Wehnwood to anyone! The people here are always willing to help.

While searching for apartments my freshman year, Wehnwood Court came up as the only option that I could afford on my own.  Moving here was easily the best decision I made.  I have lived here all four years of college.  While having all utilities being covered in the rent, and the farthest buildings on campus still only a ten minute walk, the staff is what really kept me here.  Robyn knows each one of us by name, and she really makes this place feel like a home away from home.  The staff is always willing to help you and chat with you.  For the price, no other apartments this close to campus even come close by comparison.   Give the place a chance, you won't regret it.  While it may look industrial and aged on the outside, each apartment has spoiled me with space that many people have not had over the past few years in their own apartments.  There is a reason I have lived here every semester of my undergraduate career.  There is no other place I would want to live while in school.

My mom always taught me to not judge a book by its cover, and I'm glad I didn't. Wehnwood Court is a fantastic place to live-it's cheap, all utilities are included in the rent, it's less than a six minute walk to campus, and the rooms are cute and spacious (which is a rare find in college!). In my opinion though, the best reason to live at Wehnwood is the atmosphere-the staff are friendly, professional, and courteous. They treat us like family. I can go to the manager with any problems and know that they will be fixed as soon as possible. Further, sometimes I just hang out in the office because the staff are so cool. After hearing horror stories from other students about management and conditions of some of the apartment complexes, I know I made the right choice. Live at Wehnwood. You won't regret it.

The first two questions a student must ask him or her self is, 'which university?'  and  'where to live?'.   I think that I made the best decisions, at least with these first two questions.   You made living at Wehnwood easy and comfortable.  I couldn't have asked for a better group of people or a more accomodating relationship with a landlord.   We all know college isn't easy. It comes with good and bad parts.  I could alway rely upon my apartment being my home and a safe place.  Thank you for everything you have done for me in the past four plus years.  All other future landlords will have impossible shoes to fill!

Wehnwood Court is an amazing place to live for various reasons. Parking is free and unlike on campus parking you don't have to walk a mile to get to your car. Unlike the dorms you can cook your own meals, have a room that isn't the size of a duffel bag which cannot be found on campus unless you want to sweat with every other person in Penn State. It's a wonderful and inexpensive way to experience college.

Living in Wehnwood is great beacause the apartments are spacious, have a kitchen, private bathroom, private parking, free cable, and wireless internet access. We are just minutes away from shopping and restaurants. No visitation restrictions like on capus housing.

I have spent both my freshman and sophomore years living at Wehnwood Court apartments in the girl's dorm section. I enjoyed living here so much my first year that I decided to return. There are many advantages to living at Wehnwood Court apartments that has made it stand apart from the other living arrangements at Penn State Altoona. First, it is situated within walking distance from campus and there are no large strenuous hills to climb to get to the building. Wehnwood is also very close to a shopping center that contains a Papa John's, a food store, a movie rental place, and a Chinese restaurant. Next, they are apartments, meaning they have a kitchen, living room, your own bathroom and bedroom. I was able to cook my own meals, I had my own bedroom (this comes at an extra fee) and I only had to share a bathroom with four other girls. Next, Wehnwood apartments are very affordable. It is actually one of the most inexpensive apartment complexes close to campus. The price of Wehnwood was the deciding factor for my parents and I when we were searching for places for me to live prior to my freshman year. Thus, I enjoyed the many advantages of living at Wehnwood apartments and if I was not going to main campus my junior year, I would return here again.

Wehnwood girls dorm is more then just a place to live. I have met some of the nicest people and I know our friendships will last year after year. It has become my home away from home. I am miles away from my house and my family and my apartment is the next best thing. My roommates and I do a lot of things together from group dinners to just sitting around and doing a puzzle, it is good to have people around when you get bored to do things with. Wehnwood will be my home till I graduate.

Wehnwood court is the best place to live while attending school at Penn State Altoona college. The friendly staff and safety make the building a great place to live. The proximity to campus, local stores, restaurants, and other convinces add value to the location. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The gym and the pool room are well used and appreciated by the residents. As you can see Wehnwood court is the best choice around for student housing.

PJ Sleber

After living on campus my first year moving to Wehnwood court was one of the best things I have ever done. As opposed to just having a place to sleep you have an apartment with everything you need. Plus the building is like one large family, any time I'm bored I can just visit almost anyone in the building, go down and play pool, or work out. I would recommend that anyone looking for housing visit Wehnwood court and see what it has to offer. Dh, and you can't beat the price and our manager is great.
